They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Truer words were never spoken, especially when you revisit something you love.
I had learned some guitar in my late teens, but drawing was always my passion (and still is). I still always loved music and wanted to learn to play reasonably well.
A couple of years ago I picked it up again and thanks the internet (and sites such as this), I learned a lot more about guitar and music in general. I felt that this discovery process helped me appreciate music so much more.
It lasted for a while, but sometimes, you just get away from it for whatever reason. For about the last six months, I kinda went into a funk again (not playing), but last night, I finally plugged in my gear and had some fun.
Wow, did that feel good!!! I was surprised how much I remembered and what fun it was to just sit and play. Fortunately, my wife plays too, and we both sat down and played a couple of songs together.
