The Oxygen is pretty good for electronic and soundtrack stuff and for occasional piano solos but it doesn't have hammer-action keys, which I'd like to have. If you're an experienced pianist then you're probably better off buying one with the hammer-action. Are you looking for a MIDI keyboard or a regular keyboard that doesn't require a computer?

Nice looking keyboard you have =) You bring up a good point about the MIDI keyboard. I really don't think I need one. I'd swettle for a run of the mill keyboard, nothing too special. Just something with some different options to play around with.
Any suggestions??

Haha I'm playing only MIDI keyboard but I'm using piano plugin lol. That might be a solution for you too.

Actually I'm thinking about buying a keyboard... I used to play my friend's sisters all the time, I loved that thing...
How much was yours? What kind is it? If you don't mind me asking =)

Honestly I can't remember exactly. I uploaded that video a long time ago. I had had that backing track laying around for some time before I shot the video and I had been jamming over it various times, so I kinda knew what licks sound good over it. Other than that, I think the stuff I played there was pretty basic usage of my repertoire. But yeah... I don't remember. Or are you asking how long I had played the guitar before shooting the vid?

yeah, how long were you playing guitar and shredding?

Ahh ok. I just tried using FL studio because someone recommended it to people new to that kind of stuff. I don't think my computer would be able to handle anything better than FL studio, as it's pretty crap (the computer, that is) and it doesn't seem to be able to handle more than a few things playing at one time. Thanks for the info though, and yeah I think I'll just keep screwing around with everything I've got at the moment.

Hey I was checking out your music- on your profile and on your band profile. It sounds awesome - the kind of stuff I wanted to make. What program (if any) are you using for this stuff? I downloaded FL Studio 8 and I have been experimenting with it for about 2 weeks or a bit more, trying to figure out what does what. Have you got any tips as to what I should be using and or doing? I thought I'd ask you as you seem to have something really good going on :p

By the way I'm not really looking to record guitar for any of my songs, as I don't have the proper equipment or a good enough computer.

Eating dust is whenever someone is ahead of you in some kind of race. :)

I'm hoping to get some better guitar stuff uploaded soon myself, but your playing is just kicking ass, whatever you may say. (I'm hoping you get complacent so I can catch up ;) )

Do you know the 11 note lick? the second part (to make it 19) would be descending 5 notes from the first note of the lick, then ascending 3 notes and repeating the lick over again. So if the first note if 4th fret b on the g string, you'd pick that, then pull off 7 5 4 on the d, then pick 7 on a, hammer on 4 5 7 on d and the pick the b note again on the g string. Sorry if thats an horrendously bad explination, but it looked like what you were playing.

Hey man, I was checkin out your Ibanez and laney demo vid, just wondering whats the lick you play at 0:50?? Sounds like the 2nd half of paul's 19 note lick, but i wasn't sure. Anyway, sound killer.
