I gave the already-very-electronic-sounding Thrice track a much more trance-flavored sound. Don't hate. It's the first thing like this I've done. And feel free to ignore the last twenty seconds or so, those piano riffs are meant as a segue into the next track.
I woke
Cold and alone
Adrift in the open sea
Caught up in regrets
And tangled in nets
Instead of your arms wrapped around me
And I wept but tears are anathema here,
Just more water to fill my lungs
I hear someone scream,
"God, what is it we have done?"
I am drowning in a Digital Sea
I am slipping beneath the sound
Here my voice goes to ones and zeroes
I'm slipping beneath the sound...
A song
From somewhere below,
Both deadly and slow, begins
Both sickly and sweet
Now picking up speed
Ushering in the world's end
And the ghost of Descartes screams again in the dark,
"Oh how could I have been so wrong?"
Above the screams, still sirens sing this song
I have no idea what to make of this. I just like it :3
/inappropriate emote for this opener
Oh, and the samples? Unlicensed. I don't care. This is going nowhere, it's noncommercial, and the LoC just allowed this kind of thing under DMCA anyway.
Originally meant to clone Faithless's skanky trance style. Ended up cloning a couple of classics' style, so I named it after them. Traffic + White Rabbit -> Green Light Rabbit. This will be better once I can automate EQ in the mixing process.
Man am I dissatisfied with this. Originally meant to be an opener, then The Program happened. Cheesy. Breakdown is ages long. It's basically a combination of elements of two songs stuck in my head at the time (Ben Gold - Sapphire and the classic Solex) with a couple of elements I like (pianers and that harpsichord sounding instrument). Bleugh.
