Yea I've heard the cleans are great but I don't think it has enough inner br00talz for me like you said. I was just wondering because there was one locally on craigslist for fairly cheap.

I just added you to msn....I'd like to ask you about using impulses and I figured its easier over msn.

I want to give it a shot, but I have a few questions stopping me from getting started. How do you hook up your tube amp head to the mic preamp...and could I use my line6 toneport as a preamp? (I guess I would turn off all the processing and effects in it). Lastly, I suppose I have to load up a cab sim into cubase but I think I can figure that out.

I actually, for the most part, use guitar rig 3, but occasionally i use my amp for impulses.
I can find some really nice ones for clean tones, but it seems a lot of impulses aren't that great sounding because they either seem to have a serious lack of high end, making it sound too dry, or it has some bad frequencies on the low end...I've found a couple descent ones though.
