The song is actually electric (distortion, no clean parts at all) and the chorus is a bit different now.
I recorded an acoustic version just to explain to my then bandmates how it's supposed to sound.

I'm not a big fan but they're something special.
It seems to me that we live in a time where a lot of music is just pro tools, studio magic. Artificial, without any passion.
I saw a stand up preformance by Henry Rollins and he said the same thing.
You turn on the radio and what you think is the first half of a really bad record turns out to be six different bands.
I made a profile on facebook and I played some modern rock quiz.
Never heard of the bands but, ten bands that sound exactly the same. Sad.
And then there's a band like The White Stripes. They have a thing, a sound, a "something". Ya know? Yeah, you do.
Souch a "living" natural sound, so pure, ya know. It's there.
