Favorite bands :
The list of what I don't like is much shorter...
Favorite guitarists :
Nobody really stands out in my mind.
Favorite bassists :
Nobody really stands out, but in most of the bands I've ever listened to, if I know the name of only one person in the band, it's the bass player.
Favorite books :
Almost any science fiction, accent on the science. Arthur C. Clarke was very good at the kind of stories I liked.
Science fantasy is probably second on the list.
Not really into straight fantasy, though. Swords and socery, dungeons and dragons, don't do much for me. Two exceptions to that would be Lord of the Rings, and the Myth series by Robert Asprin.
Favorite tv :
Nature shows, science shows, history shows, science fiction. Anything "Trek" is good to watch, with "Deep Space Nine" being the least favorite; too much of a serial.
Doctor Who is great, but I've only seen 3 of the Doctors, starting with Jon Pertwee (sp?), through Peter Townsend (sp?). It's been a long time since I've gotten to watch the Doctor. Babylon 5 was pretty good, too.
Pretty much anything involving space travel, I'll watch.
Favorite movies :
Almost any science fiction. Yeah, see "Favorite books".
I started playing bass a couple of years ago (2005). I have a bud that plays guitar, and I like to hang out with him and play. I like to say, "I like to play, at playing bass." I know at this late stage it's highly unlikely that playing bass will ever take me anywhere. I mean I know rock stardom is not in my future, or any kind of stardom, for that matter, but I do have fun playing.
In another life, I'm known as Chumly. If you want to know more (yeah, as if!), visit my personal (who needs myspace?) website:
My friend and I playing "Electric Funeral" along with the CD (I'm the one in the background).
Yeah, it's kind of dark, but recording quality is not too bad.
