thefitz wrote on Oct 1st, 2008 6:28pmShit man, that's a tough gig. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a friend, let alone that way. But if you keep it going, and keep it going for him, I'm sure he'll be proud.
On this side of the fence, things are aimlessly plodding along, as per. Got 2 new songs on my profile, here. Hoping to record the rest of the album and have it out by the year's end. Had a gig on Oct 29th, but my good buddy Diesel just joined a band that's pretty big, and his first gig is that day. We cancelled ours to go see his, and set one up on Nov 5th. We have an hour to play and make $5 a head - so not all's lost! quote |

anarkee wrote on Jun 6th, 2008 6:08amOk rather than post up more in the AIC thread--the reason I didn't go to 93 was because I just had my oldest kid, lol. Now don't you feel a bit younger?
She was the only kid I knew who used to headbang in her carseat to Jane's Addiction, Nirvana and the Offspring, lol. quote |

jazz_rock_feel wrote on May 29th, 2008 10:49pmIs it tacky as in sticky? I'm afraid I'm not sure what's going on. It might have been the sanding, because I sanded and mine isn't tacky, but I wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal. I'm afraid you'll need someone more intelligent than I to answer the question. quote |

anarkee wrote on May 22nd, 2008 6:37amI have been trying to learn "Over the Electric Grapevine" and "Defy the Laws of Tradition" as respites to learning more jazz than any human could possibly play. Playing Over the Electric Grapevine on a 4 string fretless is a bit of a challenge.
I have to go to La La Land (LA) at least 1x a year and always think of that song as I head down over Interstate 5 through the Grapevine. Never on acid like Les though--somehow driving the LA freeways is challenging enough with out the addition of controlled substances. quote |
