Bands
Skynyrdman1958 is a member of the following bands:
I'm gonna raise a fuss, I'm gonna raise a holler
About a workin' all summer just to try to earn a dollar
Every time I call my baby, and try to get a date
My boss says, "No dice son, you gotta work late"
Sometimes I wonder what I'm a gonna do
But there ain't no cure for the summertime blues
Well my mom and pop told me, "Son you gotta make some money,
If you want to use the car to go ridin' next Sunday"
Well I didn't go to work, told the boss I was sick
"Well you can't use the car 'cause you didn't work a lick"
Sometimes I wonder what I'm a gonna do
But there ain't no cure for the summertime blues
I'm gonna take two weeks, gonna have a fine vacation
I'm gonna take my problem to the United Nations
Well I called my congressman and he said Quote:
"I'd like to help you son but you're too young to vote"
Sometimes I wonder what I'm a gonna do
But there ain't no cure for the summertime blues
Messy, disorganized, not rule conscious, rebellious, rash, weird, ambivalent about chaos, likes bizarre things, anti-authority, not good at saving money, not a perfectionist, leaves many things unfinished, low self control, strange, desires more attention, romantic daydreamer, abstract, impractical, unproductive, leisurely, likes the unknown. Ok here's how it really goes. I started playing guitar in 8th grade to occupy me from doing other things and to take my mind off of all the people who just like to pick on me. I was self taught for the year and not very good so over the summer my parents(who I love very much) bought me guitar lessons. I practiced all day and all night, running scales, playing along with my vinyl records and cds, and learning songs from tabs I got off line. I started listing to more and more music. The Blues,Funk,Swing,Ska,Stoner Rock,Hard Rock,Metal, all these new things for me to listen to and play(or at least try). I watched how-to videos, music videos, concert vids everything that had to do with music just to see how the guitarist played. Where his fingers went, how he soloed, how he moved and how he dressed. I was 14 when I decided this is how I want to make a living. Well being a lone guitarist comes with it's problems as seeing as well I needed a band to back me and I do not have the best voice in the world so a singer as well. I found people who could play but they never really wanted to write songs just play covers and I was fine with that for a while but I wanted to play what I was writing. I had one singer at a point but he knew he needed to work on his voice so he's been practicing but I just don't know. I tried to teach them a few of my songs but they never showed up to practice enough to even remeber what we wrote down so I just said to hell with it and set up this page for me to put up my songs that I wrote(with some help on the titles from my lady friends). When every thing was looking like I was going have to put up ads around town for sober band members, a beginner drummer contacted me(or was it his ex?). What came out of this was Twisted Truth a drummer and a guitarist who thought the other one was better then the other(did that make sense?)I don't play any shows without them. Without Twisted Truth I would not be writing any songs I would be just another cover artist. Alright well thanks for taking the time to read my little bio and putting up with the bad grammar.
