This is basically a question: how should songs be written?
with my band, they're all basically using guitar pro to write songs, finish them, then give them to me to learn. I was wondering, does anyone else do this, and whatever happened to taking a riff to a rehearsal and working it up with a band? Or is just sending finished songs on a computer the way to do it now ?
guitar pro is a good way to do this but a lot is lost in interpretation, i have played in bands for years and nothing beats jamming and band practice otherwise its too clinical and doesn'y jell when performing and it sounds like you are the only one thinking this,,, time for a new band perhaps?...peace
