So by this time this is published, I will be
leaving in one day. It's crazy to think about it. I just saw Mike (A)
for the last time until break, and tomorrow (today) I'm seeing Justin
and my dad for the last time as well. Christie will be coming with my
mom and Kenny when they drop me off, which is mighty nice of her.
Tonight she and I went to see Superbad, her first, my second time. Such
a good movie.
Yesterday was SO much fun. I woke up at 9:30
(not fun) and went to Christie's. We (Christie, me, her mom, and Erica)
went to NYC to do stuff. We ate lunch at the Zen Palate, an awesome
vegan place. I wish I had been hungrier, because it was so tasty. We
went to some awesome little store that sells random stuff. Christie got
a Toucan can opener, and I got a little music box that plays 'Imagine'
by John Lennon when you turn the crank. It's my second favorite little
thing (Christie is the first!). After that we went to the Apple store,
I think I was the only one who enjoyed that part. I got a bluetooth
mouse (totally wireless!) that can right click, has 360* scroll, and
when you squeeze it, it shrinks all of my windows so I can see them all
at once and pick which one to put in teh front (I could do that before,
but had to hit F9). Then we walked 5 feet to FAO Schwatrz where we
marveled at the $10,000 stuffed water buffalo. I bought a Hufflepuff
tie and a chocolate frog, since I was about to pass out from lack of
sustenance.
This is where things got scary. We went to Saks on
Fifth. For those of you who don't know, it's a shoe store so big it has
its own zip code. Being a male with three females, I was scared for my
life. I sat down on a couch and learned how to work my new mouse. After
that we went home, but on the way stopped at White Castle, since I had
never eaten there before. I found out that the first time you eat White
Castle, your body doesn't react so well. Of course they didn't tell me
until after I ate 5 burgers. I was already feeling sick, so when the
burgers hit...ugh...That part really wasn't so fun. We went back to her
house where both of us curled up in pain (my stomach, her feet) and
watched Pan's Labyrinth. That was a weird movie, but I liked it. Fun
stuff.
I don't really know what else to blog about, but I know
there's more. I'm just trying to kill ten minutes right now so that my
first line will hold true, and that it will be Saturday by the time I
post this. In other news, tonight I'm going to finish a book. For the
first time in a while. I promise. This is going to be an emotional
weekend, I can feel it. Ugh. I'm going to go find something to hug,
like Zelda (my dog for those of you who don't know). Then eat ice cream. I like this plan...
See y'all soon! -Scotty D
This was also copied from my blogger, so ignore the mention of what itme it was posted. I'm leaving 8 hours from when this we posted on UG.
