hey I followed this advice of yours in my thread.
I took the selector out and cleaned it, but now I have a pretty severe buzz, especially with high gain, that gets quieter when I touch the strings, but louder when I touch the pickup selector. Could you offer some advice? This issue is worse than the treble thing I was trying to fix originally to be honest.
Yeah, well seems like the problem wasn't the pickup switch. But just had to make sure.
And no, I don't know what it could be. Sorry.
You could take it to a tech. Though it costs...
Buying used sucks if it doesn't work properly. That's why you should always try before you buy (I know, you might not have had the opportunity to try it before buying). And I think it also sucks that the seller didn't tell you about the pickup problem (did he?). Because if you had known about it, you could have asked him to lower the price and get the guitar much cheaper.
