I recently started posting some videos on You Tube. Feel free to check them out if you're interested! www.YouTube.com/SeeEmilyPlay7502 I'm always up for constructive feedback so let me know what you think
Alright! Another question! I know I ask a lot of these but they're fun and hopefully you agree : ) Lets say you knew your time was coming to an end. So for the last weeks, days, moments, etc. you fill your time with the people you love, things you enjoy doing, favorite activites and such. What is the last meal / food/ taste you would want to experience before biting the dust?? Thanks peeps!
I am going to be in Boston, MA this weekend! I will mostly be staying around the Commonwealth Ave/College area. I'm looking forward to visiting. I haven't been in a few years, not since I saw Nine Inch Nails at the Fleet Center. I'll be stopping at a couple of music stores- I'm really hoping to find another guitar or some instrument to add to my collection.I also have a few restaurants and bars I'd like to check out as well. If you know of any good places to stop (music stores, arts/entertainment, restaurants, etc.), please let me know! Maybe I will even see you around!
I have returned from my weekend trip to Boston, MA!
I must say, I am not as satisfied as I thought I would be. Not only that, but I am also down about 200 bucks due to subway fares, shopping, food, and drinking. I went hoping I'd find a new instrument or stumble upon something I can't find around here. I am surprised I didn't see some better used gear- especially since I was around the Berklee College area. I figured there would be more music shops but there were not many.
I picked a pretty bad weekend to go too- it was around 30 degrees most of the time and extremely windy. Even with all the layers I was wearing, I was still numb. I could only walk a few blocks at a time before I needed to retreat to a warm Starbucks or hop on the subway.
Despite the cold and lack of guitar shops, I still had a great time. I was able to get away from my home state for a while and found a few more places in Boston I really enjoyed. I am definitely planning to go back within the next year- when the weather is warmer of course!
Yes! I have finally purchased one of the instruments on my list!
I bought a Danelectro Danoblaster Rumor bass today. It includes a built-in chorus effect and has a blue sparkle finish. I found it on Craigslist and contacted the owner a few days ago. We met today at a Guitar Center so I could check it out. I fell in love! Again! It sounds great, feels good- perfect condition. I think I got a pretty good deal considering they are going for around $150+ on Ebay. The best part is I didn't have to pay for shipping and drove only a mile to get it- you can't beat that.
So, needless to say, I am very happy with the new addition to my gear family and hope to have many wonderful playing experiences with her. She's a beauty and I am quite glad I made this purchase. Also, I posted a picture in the gear section of my profile if you care to check it out.
My father, his friends, my fiance and I are all going to Las Vegas in May. We will be leaving early Friday May 8th and returning late Sunday May 10th.
We will be staying at the MGM Grand Hotel on the strip and possibly going to a DMB concert Friday and Saturday night. It should be a blast. I am not looking forward to the plane ride, but it will be worth it!
