I'm going to Maine this weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). I'll be driving up. It's going to take me around 5 hours to get there. Hopefully I shall return!
You know, when I picture Maine, I think of reading Stephen King novels when I was younger. It's like his books always take place in the middle of nowhere in Maine- you know, the woods where houses are miles apart and no one can hear you scream?
Well, luckily I'll be with my fiance and we're visiting his mom, so I should be safe. But if I don't return, farewell UG and all of its contents...it was nice becoming acquainted with you! :tears:
Hahahaha...I think you'll be fine :-) Did you know that one of Stephen King's houses is in Maine? My parents go to Maine a couple weeks every year and the one year my Mom stopped and got her picture taken next the creepy black metal gate to his estate. No mishaps befell her since then. So you should survive the trip :-) Have a great weekend!
Just to meke you fell even more 'at home'... I couldn't help but think of 'your plight' when FOXTEL screened "King Creole" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051818/som e few days later. It's here on the foreshores of Maine on a timber post house on the water, where Carolyn Jones' character is gunned down by tough-guy 'Maxie Fields' in the arms of Elvis' 'Danny Fisher'. ;-R
