I am currently in a 4-piece alternative/indie/magma rock band from Providence, RI called Silicone Feelings.
At the moment we are booking shows throughout the Northeast U.S and have new recordings in the works. This is our passion and our goal is to continue to play new venues, meet new bands and individuals, and keep creating.
We'd really appreciate your support in helping spread our music to new ears around the world.
Please take a moment to visit our web sites, give a listen and a look and if you like us please leave a comment or simply a "LIKE". Your feedback will only aid us in reaching more people and improving as individuals.
I just wanted to let you know that I recently posted some mp3's. Before listening to them, please know that I understand they are poor quality! They were not done in a studio (if they were they would be unacceptable). They were recorded in our practice space with a few cheap mics. Our drummer (who is also an engineer) did his best to make the tracks tolerable for listening purposes.
I am a big advocate for putting your best foot forward but in this case we were anxious to share what we've been working on with our friends. We are hoping that the general public will get an idea of our genre and what direction we are heading in.
I ask that if you are going to listen and comment or leave constructive criticism, please do so on the content of the song and not the production quality.
Again, I am aware that we need to work on our tones, volumes, effects, definition, etc etc and we will once we have saved enough money to book some good studio time.
So it feels like forever since I wrote anything or reached out to anyone on here. It's amazing how fast life is going by as I've taken on so many responsibilities. I feel so involved yet so out of touch with many people. So odd and hard to explain- but I'm sure many can relate.
I started vocal lessons about 2 months ago and I'm really benefitting from them. I'm learning so much and not only transforming my instrument but building my confidence as well. I cannot wait to see how far I will progress within the year.
My band recently got a new practice space and our 6-month long pursuit for a bass player has finally come to an end. It looks like our group is complete and I couldn't be happier. We're already finishing ideas and coming up with new ones. I'm looking forward to when we have some good set lists and start playing out and recording.
Well that's about it for now. It's finally Spring here so the weather is getting better and everything is looking good going into the busy season. Hope everyone else is pursuing their goals and enjoying life!
I've become addicted to it for the past few weeks. It seems like every weekend I drag my husband to Coldstone Creamery to get a pint. They don't make cotton candy ice cream for sale in stores- so it's the only place I can find it.
If I could I would buy it myself and add the gummy bears. It would probably save me a lot of money, but oh well. You only live once and life is about indulging and rewarding yourself after all the work you put in each day.
I am quite excited to announce that after 9 months of waiting, I'm finally leaving the states this week and going on a much needed vacation! On Friday 8/14 I will be on a cruise boat headed down to visit the Bahamas, Half Moon Cay and Grand Turks Island. I will be coming back home the following Friday.
Unfortunately I do have to drive 7 hrs to the port and then back home, but I'm sure it will be worth it! I'm hoping that this year I will be able to find some neat instruments on the islands-we'll see what I come home with to show you guys.
Also, two weeks after I return I am getting married! There is so much going on! Wish me luck that I may return happy, healthy and with a nice tan
