So I was going over the things I have learned on bass. And how far I have come on bass. I learned a lot of songs and few "advanced techniques" of course simple slaps and pops, tapping, pinch harmonics, and and few scales. I love playing bass. I love everything about it. I would easily recomend this to anyone. Anyway, bass is great. The amazing bassists I have found and inspired me like Victor Wooten, John Entwistle, Geezer Butler, John Myung, Cliff Burton., and the list goes on. Bass may seem simple but its not. Its a great challenge and I love it. I play it more than I play my 6 string pos. I still play guitar just not as much. Im to busy learning Schism from Tool, Carousel from Blink-182, For Whom The Bell Tolls, My Friend of Misery, actually a bunch of Metallica songs, sure the song may look simple but try it and you will find its not as easy as you think, for example NIB from Black Sabbath starts out simple but soon gets to be quite complex. but its fun nonetheless. If you play guitar make the switch if only for a day. You will love it. I play it for my band at school but didnt mean to get hooked on it. Its just very fun. Just try it. Bass rules. Plain and simple.
