Im now obsessed with hardcore/post-hardcore/metalcore. It has everything I like from other genres including amazing singers AND screamers, insance guitars, drums and even has synth! No too repedative verses/choruses, and even has clean/acoustic bits! <3
But I also love trance/Hardstyle and DnB and write lots of classical music.
Used to be obsessed with punk and stuff like that so I do have a soft spot for that genre but now Im exploring new styles of music and ways to play music.
I'm a guitar teacher even though I've never had a guitar lesson (well maybe 1 or 2 really useless shity guitar lessons). Basically im self taught XD I have been playing for 5 years now and have only really been improving in the past 2 years. I have a good knowledge of music after having 10 years of classical piano lessons.
I can now also play the bass and drums after having to play bass for my school concert band and buying a drum kit for the hell of it and so my band could come round and practice. My dad bought a guitar (Monterey) after playing guitar in his childhood but he found he didn't have enough time to play it so I picked it up and started playing around with it.
The only down side to that is that I didn't use a pick and didnt realise I had to use a pick after 4 years of playing (shameful, I know) but I was too good to go back to the start and start learning with a pick, so , I developed techniques for arpeggios and tremelo picking with my fingers. I'm now in a band, using both my keyboard, guitar and awesomely neardy computer skillz to make songs. Im also a photoshop geek and a bit of an artist (dont thnk im shit coz im 13) so if you want to see some of my work, just give me a comment and i'll give you a link.
