Well I've got my big bad books of Chopin Nocturnes and Valses, and maybe some Debussy. Any recommendations?

For piano? a couple performances with my school jazz band but i dont think i have a solo performance 'tll my end of year examination. which is what i picked those pieces for. I dunno what you guys have over in the US. But its part of my High School Certificate.

Ugh, not well, unfortunately. School is being a real pain in the ass right now, and I've got my books with me now, so I really want to start working on some things. I have no time for practicing though...

Style-wise, i may like him more than Petrucci. Not sure yet. I loved, really loved, his work on Elements of Persuasion. I will need to hear more of his solo stuff. But dont get me wrong. I LOVE Petrucci haha. Of course, Satch is my favorite player.

Help me choose lol

A Gershwin piece (rhapsody in blue), Maple leaf rag (if its post 1900) or a jazz arrangement of solfiegetto by CPE Bach or something else post 1900?

has to be <5 mins

i want it to contrast my other pieces (the rach, sonata in c by Mozart and Italian Concerto by Bach)

Im asking you cos you're the most learned classical enthusiast on UG it seems :)
