I listen to everything. I use what i hear from metal to jazz to rap and put that all into what ever i do. Be it on guitar or sax. Music ,in my opinion, is something you should observe,study, and listen to. Dont let your narrow mind that you have developed or are developing stop you from listening to only 1 or 2 genres. Be flexible with you music and listen to anything to learn from it, contrast it also.
