The saying goes "practice makes perfect", but in reality it is in fact "practice makes progress". I have a primary school teacher to thank for that saying.
And it's true. Nothing and no-one is perfect, but you have to practice to get somewhere. Most people on this site who are good at guitar would never of been able to dream they'd be able to play like they can now before they started. And it's true for anything. You can achieve anything, to any degree, with persistant practice (except maybe flying unaided. You never know though!).
One reason I'm writing this here is to remind myself I should be practicing, and not just always guitar. Now you've read this... get back to it!
