Favorite books :
I don't really like fictional books very much, and I don't really have much time to read anything serious with all of my school work.
I'd like to get into reading more philosophy books, though.
Favorite tv :
I don't really watch much TV
I do like South Park, Scrubs, Futurama and Manswers
Favorite movies :
I think the best way to make this list is to just do my favorite 3 movies of different genres.. but even that's complicated, so I'm just going to list movies I actually own unless some stick out in particular.
Comed y:
1. Grandma's Boy
2. Army of Darkness
3. Shaun of the Dead / Hot Fuzz
(Grandma's boy takes the cake. I'm not too sure about my #3 on this one, though. It'll probably change soon)
Action:
1. Fight Club
2. Last Man Standing
3. Die Hard
(Yes... I have a man-crush on both Edward Norton and Bruce Willis)
Action-Co medy:
1. Snatch
2. Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
3. Pulp Fiction
(Yes, I do love movies written/directed by either Guy Ritchie or Quentin Tarantino)
Horror :
1. 28 Days/Weeks Later
2. Dawn/Land of the Dead
3. Seven
(I only actually own Dawn of the Dead and Land of the Dead... but I don't see the point in owning scary movies unless they're bitchin' zombie movies. I would like to own the other ones I listed, though)
Martial Arts:
1. Fearless
2. Unleashed
3. Hero
(Jet Li makes the absolute best martial arts movies ever)
Mel Brooks movie:
1. Blazing Saddles
2. Spaceballs
3. Young Frankenstein
(Mel Brooks is so awesome that he deserved his own category)
Drama/T hriller:
1. Momento
2. Requiem for a Dream
3. Donnie Darko
(Ehh.. Not too sure about these picks other than #1. Couldn't think of any)
Mob movie:
1. Goodfellas
2. Casino
3. Scarface
(Robert DeNiro + Joe Pesci > Al Pacino)
I'm a Mechanical Engineering major, and I hate myself for it almost every day. The school work is hard as hell, but I know that I'll be able to find a job I enjoy instead of being an accountant and wanting to jump off a building.
I do guitar and vox in a band called Sucker-Punched by Christ. We're a punk band, and our first show is coming up in Roanoke sometime in February.
Now to the more personal stuff...
I've concluded I'm going to die at the age of 38 after going through a near-mid-life-crisis at the age of 19. A long series of my immature actions resulted in me being stressed out constantly and getting frustrated/upset/angry for absolutely no reason. I'm on track to getting all of this taken care of, though.
I've concluded that, despite being a loner earlier on in my life, I can not stand being alone. Whenever I'm by myself, I'm constantly bored and just want to socialize.
My best friend in the entire world (Kevin) is in the Army for the next 3 years or so. It fucking sucks, but I think it'll be good for him. He's been a great influence on me (despite what everybody else thinks, haha) and has helped me through some rough times. He keeps me focused and keeps me from becoming content with mediocrity in life.
I've started compiling a list of all the things I want to do in life. It is as follows:
Backpacking through Europe
White-water kayaking
Learn to snowboard
Climb a mountain in another country
Learn a 2nd language
Skydive
