Finally uploaded a picture of myself as my profile pic, rather than a picture of my dog, so now everyone knows what I look like and I'm less of the mysterious author without a face I used to be. Enjoy my mug fellas.
These posts are getting kind of repetitive, aren't they? Anyway, my computer has been crashing a bit lately, but I'm hoping I'll be able to put the finishing touches to BSJ chapter 18 tonight and have it up on Friday. Wish me luck.
I can only say that I'm sorry, Bar Slam Jam is coming along pretty slowly. I just have so much bullshit going on these days that the points in time where I can just sit down and write a few lines about the adventures of The Burnouts are few and far between.
Please be patient, the chapters will continue to come, just not on the weekly basis that I have mentioned before. So, sorry.
I am terribly sorry about all the delays, I have been extremely busy and have simply not had time to write any Bar Slam Jam chapters, but I'm hoping that I might finish the next piece tonight, and send it in so that it hopefully will be posted on Wednesday.
I was done with part 14 of BSJ on Sunday afternoon, but was totally forgot about posting it, so I didn't send it in until Monday morning (Norwegian time), so it didn't end up on the home-page when I wanted it to. I hope it will pop up in the course of the day...
Other than that: Our Norwegian teacher is the worst educator I have ever seen: she has no control of the class, she has no control of the education, she doesn't even know what she's saying: she stops in the middle of her sentences, waits a few seconds and starts on a new, unrelated one. The class doesn't give a shit about what she's saying, and quite frankly; I could do a better job than she is.
Oh well, I suppose I should just snooze through the class...
Good God! It seems that I have spontaniously combu
Hello there,
Here's the good news: I've written the first bit of Bar Slam Jam part 13, and have most of the rest of it in my head, ready to be written down. AND I've gotten a job, and am now making fistfuls of cash, although my first payment won't be until the middle of October. FUCK!
The bad news: I have a lot of math homework to do tomorrow, not to mention helping my dad with the boat (old wooden sailboat, has a few holes that need plugging) and I need to brush up on a classical piece that I have to perform on Tuesday.
And I'm taking a drama class on the side, besides studying drama at school.
And I have another classical piece to learn besides that.
And I'm working on learning a bunch of A Perfect Circle songs.
And I want to start a band (either an abstract post-alternative band or an alternative-thrash-melodic-hardrock band).
And although I earn good money at my job, it really is a pain in the ass.
And I still need to write the rest of Bar Slam Jam part 13.
Did I already mention that last one? Oh well, haven't been getting much sleep.
Take care out there, it's getting cold (at least here in Norway).
Well, Bar Slam Jam part 12 made it out on time, and people seem to like it! Although life as a student in the Norwegian equivalent of high school isn't easy. The school I'm going to focuses on studies in music, dance and drama (I'm studying drama). this leads to a lack of space for practising, or rather; a lack of space in general. Never before have I ever been in an area that is so crowded, constintally. Also, teachers seem to enjoy demanding far too much from students (I think they're all sadists), and learning scripts, learning songs, writing new chapters of Bar Slam Jam, finishing homework on time... It all adds up.
My tip for getting through life: post-rock. Sigur Rós, Mogwai, Radiohead... they all do the trick.
