The Pit Is The Worst Place Ever Pt. 1 of ???

This is a list of things that users do in the pit that are really gay.

1) Reporting posts/threads

Self explanatory, there are always mods online who should be doing their job.  Being an ass kiss is normally really blatant, but it presents itself incredibly more so by reporting someone and then posting "reported", basically giving that person control over when to end the thread.  I just like how they think they are being helpful, as if pointing out the obvious is groundbreaking stuff.

2) Complaining about poll options

I make a poll that allows you to vote every option.  Thus, a couple people think it's HILARIOUS to choose all the options in the poll and fuck with my shit.  I don't care, but they think it's FUCKING THE FUNNIEST THING EVER, so they do it.  Then, there are the people who come in and bitch about how the results of a fucking internet poll have been skewed and are no longer valid in their eyes or whatever the fuck.  If you seriously give that much of a fuck about the results of a poll in the pit, you need to take a deep breath and get over yourself.  I like giving all the options so that I can vote for whatever I feel like.  If you want a poll with results, make it before I do and set up your own poll.

3) lolstacks in sigs

Hey, we get it.  You're funny.  You made someone lol irl probably, and that person vocalized it.  Putting it in your sig makes you look like "that guy" instantly.  Who cares? Everyone gets a lolstack here and there, and even then, the concept of a lolstack is already pretty shitty to begin with.

4) Asking the pit for help and being serious

This is more lame than annoying really.  Just the fact that people come to the pit to tell random people their problems, expecting a serious response to a moderately important time in their life.  Not really much to say about this because it often speaks for itself by the first couple of posts in the thread.

5) Constant Photoshop threads

Maybe this is an easy target, because it's apparent that most of the time, these threads aren't going to get past page two before a mod sees it and closes it in order to contain the fail and prevent infecting everyone else.  Still, the fact that you saw a mildly comedic situation portrayed in a picture and decided to post it for us all to giggle about is gay enough.  This is the best example of where the pit would be a better place if people didn't randomly start threads for the sake of either getting their name out there or just to get cliched responses from predictable posters.  Threads should be thought out and planned more often than randomly created...much like a painting or an album.  Threads are losing their artistic credence and self expression.  Do your part to stop stupid threads like these.

Agreed for the all the points but the first. It's not always obvious, and not every mod will be bothered to go through every post in every thread to find out if any rules have been broken. Calling it ass kissing isn't exactly right either (though I suppose there are some who do it for that reason), but a tool to help the mods find out where the rules are being broken. It's obviously a feature of the forum, and if they didn't want it, they could remove it.

Overall, The Pit is probably not the worst forum I've visited, but doubtlessly the most juvenile at times.
