Just finished my A Level exams and I'm getting ready to go live in Blackpool.
I've got my accommodation sorted, I'll be living 2 streets away from the college, on an adjacent little street. All the houses on the street are painted in loads of different colours. Probably because it's also near enough on the promenade. I can see the tower from my window, and when I come to the end of the street I can see the Sealife centre
I live near enough to all the major clothes shops, and there's plenty of cafes and general stores nearby.
I think that considering I only wanted to go to Manchester Uni so I didn't have to move out I'm doing well. Blackpool is probably a perfect place for me. Despite the fact that I have to move, the course I'm going on will be amazing (Wildlife Photography), the woman of the couple who run the accommodation is a very nice lady, my bedsit is small but very cosy, it's fairly cheap, and I'm by the sea. Every day. For 3 years. And the idea of being able to have my house and me cooking and general independence is kind of nice. I was worried at first but this is going to be amazing.
I move in on the 1st of September hopefully, and my course stars on the 8th.
Woooooooo life.

EDIT: Hooraaay I have a giant pink suitcase and several tubs full of dish towels, peelers, sieves etc etc Lots of homey things

Man, I hate the sea at Blackpool. It's all...brown...and stuff. Ruined my childhood, so it did. The lights are nice to see every now and then, mind you. Will you be staying close to the coast, or further inland than that?

Seriously though, kudos to you for leaving home and moving somewhere alone. It takes a lot of courage to do that.

I'm like... 2 or 3 streets off the coast. It's brilliant. Near enough on the seafront.
The sea's not that icky though! Maybe seems like it but it's not honestly :p

That sounds awesome. And I'll take your word for it on the sea. I'm not going anywhere near it to find out :p
oh and if joor in manchester sity centre on teh 30th listen out for the stupid rantings of me and the amazing noises made by scum bag carrol!!!! (were off school.....nothing to do.....)
good luck :D you wont need it though, I'm assuming you mean moving out of your parents? Gettin your own place is one of the greatest feelings! I went a bit crazy when I bought my house, painted one of the rooms yellow, green, red and blue with a giant blackboard on the wall just because I could haha
