Unbelievably, i actually didn't notice this post at first, i just looked at the one at the top of my profile. PYT could do with more groove, its true - i did mean it to be rubato, but not so much that it detracted from the groovy feel during the "chorus". When you say not impressed by the picking, does that include the vid i uploaded to show my picking out of an improv context? Because i quite like my picking tone atm.
And btw, thanks for taking the time - and when are you going to stick some more stuff up? This is just going to be your dmusic all over again.  : Did you catch my crits of the two tunes, and were they half harsh enough?
Thanks for the crit, i know i can trust your ear so i'll move away from the raw chops practice shortly when i feel i've actually made some progress (otherwise i'd just feel like i'd wasted a fortnight...). And if you think my legato's not too shabby then i'm fuckin' pleased.

Yeah, phrasing's still the main issue, i'd agree. After about a month or two of this current practice regime i think i'll have a month of "musicianship" practice. And don't worry, i'll do my technique nitpicking myself, you've just been very helpful here and there in the past with issues i've had, so anything you spot, give us a shout, mmm?
