Owensboro is in need of bands who can play ROCK. Not the fricking bluegrass crap that Owensboro is based on. Bring your bands, get a gig, rock out. This place is so boring, that the teenagers here would love anyone who could come. Owensboro needs your help!~~~~~
Many times I realize something unimportant and quite obscure. I have a very boring life. Fun for me is playing guitar in my room, or going for a drive out to nowhere. Blegh. Owensboro is a boring place, and with no one to hang out with on a regular basis, it's a REALLY boring place. I spend too much time inside, playing guitar and video games. Friends are too far away and everything is country around here. Even the music. For every 1 rock station there are 4 country stations. Sometimes I wanna hop in the car and drive off to somewhere interesting, or at least someplace where I can do something with my nights other than sit at home and watch old TV shows. Sigh....
What are people's opinions on oddly shaped guitars? B.C. Rich is one of the main suppliers of those, such as the beast, warlock, Virgo, Ironbird, etc. I have always been fascinated by those guitars which are out of the ordinary, however many others claim that oddly shaped guitars never have the same quality of playing that regulars such as stratocasters. I don't have a ton of experience, and I'm wondering about others opinions. Comments???
Has it ever occured to anyone who is just beginning that it can actually make you feel bad to hang around those who have been playing for years? I have alot of those friends, and you know, it kinda sucks. Everyone is like, oh, you'll get better. Then, you play, and it's embarrassing. I know. But what they say is actually true. I was playing really crappy bluegrass songs to start out, and I only knew 4 chords. But i hung out with my friends when they played. I watched, learned, and attempted to play along, and NEVER GAVE UP. I've gotten better and better. Perseverence counts with guitar.
