What is happening to music today? I hear nothing on television except for rap music and pop shit. There are so many channels and shows for mainstream shitty music but only a few for good metal music. I think the best one i have found so far is Metal Mania on VH1 Classic. Everything from the greatest metal era ever (the 80's) is on that show.
Recently metal is fighting back and has been for a few years. Metal is coming back and trying to weaken the Nu-Metal age and bring back the great music. Bands like Van Halen and Motley Crue touring again. The legends of rock are coming back to save it and bands are adapting. Bands like Trivium and other are becoming the front of the metal battlelines and we are taking back our right to debauchery. Long Live The Metal...You Cannot Kill The Metal, Metal will live on...
If you haven't heard of it, look it up. If you haven't read it buy it and read it. Anybody who has any kind of interest in Motley Crue or even the effects of Heroin should pick up this book. It is the best look of what heroin can do to a persons life that i have ever read.
It takes you to the bottom of the deepest hole that you can spiral into whit heroin. It shows you how you can think your happy and that you need it but it's really tearing you apart.
Nikki Sixx has died...He even says so in his book. Heroin killed Nikki Sixx and i don't mean metaphorically. Pick up this book because i guarantee you will not be able to out it down until the end.
Everytime Guitar Hero comes up on this site you get a bunch of people coming in telling people to learn realy guitar and that guitar hero sucks. It's annoyed me so much that i thought i'd write about it.
Guitar hero has never been seen as a substitute for guitar. The people who made the game never claimed it to be that, it is the people who have called it that. The game is meant to be fun and a way to experience the joy of playing music. I do play guitar myself, i have been playing for almost 4 years and i enjoy playing guitar hero because very often i will master a song on guitar hero and get so pumped doing so that i would put down the controller and pick up my real guitar and learn it.
Guitar hero never has been and never will be a replacement for the real thing. I think that people who think otherwise are just wasting time by telling the world how they feel about the game. it's simple, if you don't like it don't read any news on it or comment that you hate it. If you like it, show your love for it if you wish. If you play guitar hero but don't play the real guitar i feel your cheating yourself and you should pick up a real guitar and feel the joy it brings. But by all means, do not stop playing guitar hero because it is a great way to get into music that is much better than the music today.
To end this i'd like to say that my little cousins love bands such as black sabbath, kansas, guns n roses and so on. How did they come to love these bands you might ask?? From a little game called Guitar Hero...
