but, anyway. I'm starting guitar lessons at the place around the corner from my house. The guy who is giving 'em is pretty kewl and owns a few nice guitars. Oh well, gonna update a lil later.!
Hey, I'm done with my work in class, so I figured I would add a new post to my blog. I've been having a harder time than expected learning guitar on my own, so I've been looking for local guitar teachers in my area. Good new!
I found one! I'm not going to strat actual lessons with him until next week, but I can't wait to get started. Oh well, I'm gone for now.
I've studying my butt off! I'm at my dads so I couldn't bring my guitar (sucks), but I've been practicing finger picking, and trying to memorize chords. I finally got to the point where I can clearly play a note, so I'm excited... but I'm having a lot of trouble memorizing the positions and everything. My neighbor's also is leaving for Afganistan, so I won't have anyone helping me anymore.
So I'm gonna do the only thing I can do, practice what little skill I have and make it better! Wish me luck, lol.
I skipped practice today, had too many chores. However... when I got a break, I looked up sirdonacus. It's a band some peoples from school are in. I checked through the few videos I found, and liked em, lol. I gotta talk to the Faygo Man (aka Devil Clown Boy) and see how the band is doing now, lol.
I didn't go over to the neighbors today, but I really got into practiceing. I'm working on chords, and I got a little too into it. I let time go by, and wound up with swollen, red fingers. I tried the intro to Come As You Are by NIrvana again. To my surprise, I've actually made improvement. Even though I can't play yet, holding a guitar in my hands makes me feel alive! This is gonna be something I do for the rest of my life... once the swelling goes away, of course, lmao.
I talked to my neighbor who has been playing for some time now... and he offered to give me some lessons! That should make things much easier. I can't wait to practice. The more I practice, the better I will get.
Okay, I am still have troubleremebering some of the chordsbut I'm makingprogress. As soon as I get that down, it might be a little easier. My friend said she wants to hear me play Nirvana or Santana, so I'm going to learn Come As You Are by Nirvana. (like that's going to happen after a few days). I tried the intro, which isn't too bad but after about five hours of practicing that and chords, my fingers hated me, lol. It's going to take a long time before I get to the point when I can even begin learn a song but I'm excited!
seriously though, playing for that long (excited or not) isn't the best idea. But it is way worth it so, I'll suck it up & Ventis Secundis, Tene Cursum! (Go With The Flow).
I got a brand new Fender guitar for X-mas. It's my 1st guitar so I have absolutely no skills at all. BUt, I'm optomistic. I learned piano in a weekend so this hopefully won't be too hard. MY new challenge starts now.
