All About Eve -- The Pearl Fishermen   (04:22)
There's a very fluffed note in the first solo, which I didn't notice until too late. { Tags : folk }

Arrival of the Queen of Sheba   (05:44)
Paul Bielatowicz's version as tabbedin Guitar Techniques 204. My version is at 62bpm. Reached the deadline in the 'calling all musicians' thread 11. So didn't have time to do a better version. I did record one at 90bpm, but my pull offs were too embarrassing. { Tags : classical, Bielatowicz }

The Killers -- Mr Brightside cover   (04:02)
I doubled the guitars, which might have been a mistake. It seemed to work better than any single tone I tried. Plus the (midi) drums before the outro chorus are way too loud. They're quieter on my sequencer, but on the recording gear they come out loud. Nuff excuses. { Tags : indie, rock, pop }

Satie's Gymnopedie #1   (03:02)
Bridget Mermikides arrangement from Guitar Techniques Magazine 202.

Not entirely happy with this recording. It's not all one take, but even so it's still not good enough. I'm going to regard it more as a marker, so I can compare next year's performance. { Tags : classical, satie }

Michael Chapdelaine - California Dreaming   (02:40)
Not as good as it should be. About 3 or four punch-ins, and a little faster than I can comfortably play it. And I do the solo differntly to Chapdelaine. { Tags : Hippy, folk }

Spirit of Radio (edit)   (02:05)
Did this in a hurry, so not much of a drum track. And, no, this isn't what Geddy plays on the official recording -- I based it on the demo tape they did. Cost me 33 million to buy that tape. Really! { Tags : Rush }

Tarrega's Gran Vals   (03:14)
Recorded in 8 sections, ie: I punched in 7 times. One day.... I'll be able to do it live. { Tags : classical }

Higher Ground Bass cover (100bpm)   (04:48)
Original is at about 140bpm. Still got a couple of months work on this, but I'm uploading it for the 'Call all musicians' thread: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1509263&page=4 { Tags : funk, bass, slap, slow }

Bach -- Bouree in Em   (01:14)
About the 20th attempt, but this is all in one take. { Tags : Bach }

Lindsay Buckingham -- Big Love   (01:53)
All the parts are there, but it's not full length because I don't think that would work without the vocals

Chopin's nocturne opus9#02   (04:32)
As taken from GT206, arranged by Bridget Mermikides. My performance makes it sounds like a real foot stamping waltz. This wasn't intentional. It's a bit more lyrical when it isn't just 1,2,3, 1,2,3.

And the fermatas aren't the way I would like them -- I played to a metronome for all but the last bit. Why? so that I could punch in more easily. The odds of me getting this all in one performance are very low at the moment. { Tags : classical }

Importance of being Idle   (03:39)
I just busked the guitar. The bass is all one take, for CATPM. The solo is on bas, too. The drums are MIDI file, this time played by my computer rather than my recording gizmo. { Tags : pop }

Ulli Boegershausen's arrangement of Seal's Kiss fr   (04:12)
A few punch-ins -- one really obvious because it cuts off my breathing in.

Decided to give this a go after finding a video of Sungha Jung playing this on youtube. { Tags : Seal, pop }

Deep Purple -- Smoke on the water   (05:36)
Mostly just bass and drums -- very annoying drums, which worked fine as a midi played in, say, WMP. But my recording device sometimes gives up when it can't manage and simply plays lots of snare drum as its interpretation of the MIDI.

Bass went well though, one take -- a couple of errors I'd normally change but I felt it was better to keep it as one take.

I had to do the guitar riff, obviously... { Tags : rock, cover, bass }

Andy Fraser's solo from Mr Big   (02:10)
The drums here are, again, terrible. I needed something with a snare on every beat but couldn't find a preset on my recording gizmo which does that.

Not all one take, either. One day... { Tags : bass, solo }

Peter Frampton -- Show me the way (bass cover)   (04:25)
I'm only playing bass, the rest is a midi file I downloaded from someplace. Should probably have played something better to lead into the solo, but I only did root note.
