Paul Gilbert Get Out of My yard Instructional DVD

Hello I haven't made a blog in a while so I thought I made one about this DVD.

I got to say this DVD has advanced my playing technique a massive amount in a couple days I really recommend it. Gilbert explains all his deepest secrest behind the scenes and shows how it's done. He teaches every song in the album Get out of my yard. Between every video where he explains you can see Paul perfoming with Mr Big and there are few cool live gigs in the end.

But the main beaf in the DVD was when he explained techniques that he uses always.

The hammer-on and pull-off lesson was really terrific. I thought I could do really fast hammer ons and pull offs but I guess I was wrong. Paul shows exactly how you should improve your technique and shows this catchy riff in A minor. (I couldn't find the link for this video, sorry)

Arpeggios lesson this helped me ALOT to improvise. He shows this coold pattern to solo over minor7 chords and you can use the same also on many different chords. This lesson helps you to see the notes on fret boards more clearly and shows how great chancing octaves really is. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=oWw9EAJWAsI

Vibrato in your ears lesson well this showed me what I do wrong occasionally. I bend wrong. Many people just think well yeah bending is just bend the string and hope it sounds cool but they don't really realise how important it is to get the note bended right! He also shows some catchy vibrato riffs in this lesson. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=qV4A_Un9GGk

Alternative picking lesson. This was the helpfullest of them all. Paul shows you exactly how you should hold the pick and how to use it. The cool pick harmonics are really useful too. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=CpJNUGHxC3M

Check out also other Gilberts lessons on youtube they're really handy. Thanks for reading!
