Hey man, your the same age as me, so your going to uni soon right? I noticed you posted in a thread about jazz and said you were going to be doing music education and jazz studies at University (something like that if I remember correctly). Thats pretty much the exact same thing I have on my mind at the moment.

Just wondering, what school you gonna study at?

Alright here are the settings I normally use:

Gain: 70%
Low: 70%
Middle: 60%
High: 75%
Contour: 60%
Low resonance: 75%

As you can see, I don't cut my mids. I simply boost them a little less than I boost my lows and highs.

I also use a digitech Bad Monkey OD pedal:
Level: 100%
Low: 60%
High: 40%
Gain: 0%

If you dont have an OD, you would probably have the amp set up more like this:
Gain: 100%
Low: 80%
Middle: 60%
High: 60%
Contour: 60%
Low res: 80%
