Well, in my cover, I skipped the beginning sweeps but played all the string skipping and what not, those intervallic sweeps were a real bitch to get down and still are :(.

Props for being able to play most of the song though! That 7 string sweep arpeggio he does is bloody hard to do and since I only have a 6 string, I had to tap it :(

Damn, Miles Of Machines is a difficult song, what parts in particular can't you get? I can try help if you want.

Hey, I have a chance to get a Line 6 XT Live for $200-300USD (150-220 Euros) Its got over 100 Built in Amps, 86 Effects (+Wah, thats worth $70 right there) 4 mics for any sound you want for line In recording, But Ive only got a limited time frame to get it. After I get it, I should be able to get the Xiphos Too, if Funds permit.

Do you think I should get the XT Live? Its got a retail of 600USD (450Euros)

I realise (by listening again to my skills) that I told you the wrong name of the "finger picking" you rated so kindly there ... it is not what I said but MY OLD FRIEND PAT , a song of Marcel Dadi a french virtuose of that style , I wrote a history of this guy on UG , you can read it here

Ha ha, lucky? I find girls in real life more appealing than internet girls...

I just can agree with what you say ... real life is the best, but more and more poeple get to meet with the internet.

I open the lid and put just one in a 45 degree angle.. And the best mic to record piano is a Condenser microphone with a cardioid polar diagram.. and if you listened to the whole recording I dropped the mic inside, hence my scream xD

Could you give me some Song recomendations for Nile, Arsis, Death, Carcass, and Morbid Angel?
I want to get into them, but Don't know where to start. Ive already listened to Sarcophagus and Sacrifice unto Sebek for Nile, and I like their style, and For Arsis Ive Listened to Lust before the Maggots conquest. Ive only really heard pieces of the others though.

Hey, are you good with tabbing strings by ear?

I meant "ear" instead of "hear", whoops. Well it's 5am I'm tired, there's my excuse.

Hey, are you good with tabbing strings by hear? I know you're good with strings in general but I'm working on tabbing a track off the Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince soundtrack and could use some help with the strings if you can. :)

I have a technical metalcore song here on UG (GP format though, I recorded it but I still need to mix it)

Here http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.ph p?t=1137758

Good, Had a nice melodies, and would take some technique. Although it was too Metalcore For me. If you were going for the BTBAM sound, then your did your job, but I feel like it had Bits of ATR in it too.

When I think technical Metal though, I think Something along the lines of Necrophagist, as its probably the best example of it. The Riffs were good, but they all seemed like you just took a theme you liked and played it a few times.

I liked the part at 35 Seconds in, That was great. Also,The Heavier part after will sound Great.

PM me a few Midi Files from your Most Brutal/Challenging songs, I wouldn't mind Critting a few more.

I was re-listening to them the other day and noticed that they were really shit, I got much better now, plus the actual "skills" concept is a bit stupid, I'd rather keep my mp3's up.
I stopped fucking around now and actually touched a guitar for the first time in about 1 month, so I'm finishing some projects I was working on before the summer madness began, I'm going to start putting up originals now.

They are stupid, That I agree, But it lets you show people some things that you couldn't exactly include in a song. Like ATM I couldn't include a 30 Note per second Sweep tap, or 24NPS Scale into a song, But I could show You that I can do it.

But think of it this way. Get back up there (With new skill Material) And if your on the top 5 you basically get free Profile Advertisement, which will boost listeners for your Music, and you Get Feedback on your Music.

Also, How are you in Technical Death Metal Riffing?

aha, i knew it was lower! :p
Love the mp3's man, i swear, if you don't make it big, I've lost a lot of faith in music. You have the talent for it.
