There isn't enough room in this text box. I enjoy fantasy, mystery, horror, nonfiction, fiction, kind-of-fiction, and anything else you can imagine.
Except Ayn Rand.
I'm extremely shy. I might not seem it over the internet, but face to face, I'm quite intimidated by most people I meet. It probably stems from the fact that I'm quite insecure about myself. I have an inferiority complex; I always consider myself lesser than everyone I meet. Also, I'm insecure about my body. I consider myself to be probably the most unattractive non-disfigured human being you can, or will, meet. That's why I don't have any pictures of myself.
I've gotten a few inquiries as to my name in real life. I've told people that I don't say because they wouldn't believe me if I told them, but I don't really care anymore. My name is Blue.
No, I won't tell you how old I am. I'm older than 17. I'm younger than 27.
I'm a recently-converted Atheist. I DO respect all religions and walks of life, so never will you hear me tell you that your belief in any religion is wrong. For all I know, it could be my belief that's wrong. It's not my place to judge.
I have three major hobbies: guitar, acting, and video games.
I've been playing guitar for almost 5 years, but I still "suck," as most people would put it. And by "suck," they mean I can't sweep arpeggios at 500bpm. I'm classically trained in music theory, and play guitar, bass, drums, and piano. I might not be able to shred with the best of them, but I do consider myself a rather competent rhythm guitarist, and I'm a trained vocalist. My largest musical influences are (as far removed as they may be from one another) Rammstein, Nightwish, Pink Floyd, the Decemberists, and Nirvana.
Perhaps spawning from my low self esteem, I love to act. I consider it a form of escapism, to become a conceptually realized character, rather than the flawed person I am day to day. I have a wide vocal range, and I have plenty of practice hiding my feelings from my strict mother to act in any emotional situation I can be put in. I also played Billy Mays in a variety show in early 2009.
Finally, video games, a hobby which I have lovingly indulged in since 1995. I own a collection of over 250 games for every system from the Xbox 360 to the Sega Genesis. Recently, I've been kind of laying off the "hardcore" gaming, but I still go nowhere without my DS (even dates, but only because most of the girls I date are also gamers). If nowhere else, you can usually find me lurking in the Gaming Thread Mk. III.
I overuse smilies, a fact you will learn from seeing a single post of mine. I was the originator of the 3x3 lolstack, and my patented loldiamond.
I witnessed the birth of the Demotivational Pictures thread. And UG profiles, but that's no big deal.
I have a very objectivist personality at times. I listen to music people say sucks (I enjoy Dragonforce AND Fall Out Boy, and I don't care what you say). I make jokes only I understand or laugh at (a fact that causes me to come across as rather strange at times).
I accept EVERYONE as they are, and I will befriend anyone who looks lonely. They're less likely to reject me, anyway. Rejection is my biggest fear.
I tend to take things too personally. I've given up on a song I've written because someone remarked it "needs a little work."
I have not the money to visit the guitar or gear forums, nor the attention span for the musician talk forum, so I'm usually in the Pit.
I aspire to greatness, but I often fall short.
Well, that's me in an (admittedly rather large) nutshell. If you have any questions, I love being approached for conversation
