DEF LEPPARD!!! OH MY GAWD!!!! Adelaide Entertainment Center 2/11/08 GREATEST CONCERT I'VE EVER BEEN TO! To see these guys play was so much fun. I was lucky enough to get right in the front of the stage. They are such good performers and you can tell they have been together for years. They are the type of band you can tell will never break up. They are like family up there. So many awesome songs. I got 4 picks. 2 from Cheap Trick (they opened for Def Leppard!!!!!) 2 from Sav (bassist of Def Leppard ) I like smileys
Anyways. They are awesome, even if you dont know their songs that well. (i didnt know all the lyrics) its so much fun to be there. I went with my mum...(BIGGEST DEF LEPPARD FAN IN T3H WORLDZ!!!!!!)
we had so much fun. I'm even thinking about going again to their brisbane show before they leave Aus. Is anybody has a chance to see them, don't miss your chance. Its a show i will remember for the rest of my life...simply amazing.
Well, the title says it all. I'm still waiting for a reply from Foodland. I asked a friend if he could check up on the status of my application, and he said he'd ask tomorrow (he works there).
I'm hoping that the manager is working there that day because that would mean that my mate could put in a good word and get me in. You guys have no idea how badly I'm coping with this. I NEED A JOB.
To pass the time and get my mind off things, I picked up my Schecter, and started learning scales finally. I learnt a couple of patterns and straight away I started improvising almost flawlessly. Before I knew about scales, I would just make rubbish up on the spot and just tweak it untill it sounded right. I've also noticed a difference in the way I think about music now. I used to think about all the different notes on the fretboard. Now i just think about a few patterns and it makes it all so much easier to play.
If you don't know how helpful scales are, learn them, and you'll see.
Well, I dont know how long i'm meant to wait for my job application to go through. Im starting to panic...what if i don't get the job? Oh oh... No razorback for me
How long does it usually take to get a job at your local supermarket?
I would have thought a few days...I guess its been a few days already but there still is time. I just hope that I get the job...i rally want this guitar
As a write this first line, I am preparing myself to go to Foodland and hand in my Application and resume.
*walks out* 30 Mins Later
Woo! I'm back! Got a bit sidetracked and went to the skate park on the way back. Some hot chick served me and asked, "What can I do for you?" I managed to blurt out, "Here!", as I handed her the resume and my application.
She just laughed and said, "Sorry, I do that to some people".
What the HELL was that!? Was she hitting on me? If I get this job, I'm defiantly hanging out with her.
So I think that's the hardest bit out of the way. Hopefully I get a reply soon C ya
So this is my first blog here, and the first day of my new quest. FINDING A JOB
I've pretty much decided that I need a job to be able to afford a new rig. My goal? $2700 in 5 months. That should get me my Dean Razorback 7. My birthday is coming up in December so I'll be asking for money. No Presents!!! And then Christmas...No Presents!!! Sounds easy? Yeah, i thought that too. First step. Get the application form for my local supermarket, "Foodland" (hey, it works ok?!). I got it, and I filled it out and will be returning it tomorrow. Then it hit me...what if I don't get the job? I'll have to busk!!!! I don't want to busk! But then again, I don't really want to work at Foodland either.
So, wish me luck people! This will be my first job if I get it. If you want to make my life a little easier, give me your moneyz!!!! C ya soon
