a bias probe is used to bias and check the bias on adjustable biased tube amps. its really just a tube socket with 2 leads comeing off it that you plug into a multimeter to measure the current in the tubes. really simple. alot of info on them at Eurotubes.com

Bugera amps and the VK have a dif sound from one another. the Bugera can do anything from soft jazz to metal shred with ALOT of gain to spare. the VKs seem to the same but like in the gain area. the have a good bit of gain for hard rock and all, but if you are lookiung for a metal amp the Bugera will do or look for a used 5150/5150 II

Its a great amp man. just get a bias probe and check the bias on it when you get it. they come shipped with the bias a bit off. other then that man...GREAT amp. can do any style man and its LOUD..haha
