Hi!
How do you write your lyrics? Or better: Do you create the melody first or are your building the melody and sound around the lyrics?

Greetings

Thanks very much for your crit :) I'd never noticed the similarity to 'Love Of My Life', but it's pretty obvious now!
When it comes to writing for vocals I tend to come up with a couple of lines of lyrics and then fit them to a melody. The restriction of already having the lyrics really helps me come up with melodies. I tend to look for notes within the chords that I can sing too, which is a really nice effect when it works.
Hope that's some help
Paddy

Hi!
First of all thanks for your comment on my song.

Now to yours:
You have a great impressive voice that absolutely fits with your guitar playing.
I very like the intro of Bulldozers (At first i thought the first five secons sound a little like the intro of Queens "Love of my live" in the live versions, but thats great), and the sound of this electric guitar.

Also your acoustic playing (especially on "Donīt fall behind") and sound is great.

I wish I had your voice. I have always been thinking of writing some music with vocals but my (bad sounding) voice makes it impossible :(.

How do you write your lyrics? Or better: Do you create the melody first or are your building the melody and sound around the lyrics?

Greetings

First off, thanks for your crit on my instrumental "Something In the Midnight Spring Air (春の夢想Blues)"!

I just listened to your three songs in your signature, and I'm extremely - I mean EXTREMELY - impressed! The recording-quality sounds pro, your guitars sound excellent, and your playing is absolutely beautiful. Your voice is great and seems to be quite versatile, and your songwriting is absolutely brilliant. The 1st verse from "Bulldozers", for example: "We took our car-park communion, anointed by the petrol and the pouring rain
The choir serenaded from the hood of the old truck where we used to scratch our names
And the vicar in the torn up jeans said all his thank-yous to the faithful as they walked away
The last survivors of a plague that killed the hopeless and the lonely, the only ones who dared to stay"

I mean, that's brilliant, man! There's just no other word for it. You've got a hell of a lot of talent, man. A hell of a l
