I am currently 24 and have been playing guitar since I was eight. I took private lessons from eight until I graduated high school and left for Berklee College of Music in Boston. I also took theory/arranging classes in high school. At Berklee, I spent two years as a dual major (Guitar Performance and Classical Composition) but by my third year switched entirely to Composition because I enjoyed the theory and history of music more than anything. I also felt I was at a level where I could really teach myself anything I wanted to know or play on the guitar because of my theory knowledge.
After graduating from Berklee in 2006, I became the guitarist of the nationally sponsored Jagermeister band Pushboxx and played about 60 shows a year, including opening for the Jagermeister Music Tour (Stone Sour, Shadows Fall, Lacuna Coil). After Pushboxx brokeup, I met up with some amazing musicians and started my current band Mad Orchid. We are in the process of recording a new album and have been playing all over the place. We've also recently been endorsed by InTune Guitar Picks and Illusion Clothing, so things are going pretty well.
