Wow, those kids are good.
But if I was on an album where the singer was dropping the f-bomb, I'd get murdered so badly. But killer band. They sound a little like Motley Crue, except 5000 times better...not as poser and much more energetic. I want to download this album of theirs. Looks good. I don't know how their bassist is influenced by guitarists though, that doesn't make much sense to me.
That's sick that it's an all-metal show. I don't see enough of those (but I got Gigantour tickets! Heck yes! Very psyched for High On Fire - check them out!)

My personal opinion on ex's: Normally not worth your trouble unless they dumped you. But go for it anyways :P

I can't wait to check out that vid man, I'm pretty psyched to see it! I should get some vids of me playing guitar...

V Day Prank calls - that's so metal! \m/
I heard cloverfield was pretty awesome from a few different people; i'll probably rent it when it comes out (money for theatres is kind of limited right now).
But dude that Jem sounds soooo good. Tons and tons of gain now, so I've turned my gain way way down and I've dialed in an unbelievably gorgeous tone.
Nice job on that gig man! Are you doing a metal gig?

Two single guys on V Day...it's better that way than being taken anyways. Too much build-up for nothing.
Phone them up it's hilarious!
I haven't been up to much lately, just a lot of guitar stuff. I finally got my JEM back and installed with new pickups. So I've been playing that and messing with my sound a lot. I recorded some new skills last night :P
And school...oh man. That one exam I was uber-worried about, I got 61% on it. Not good, but hey, better than I thought.
What about you? What's new these days?

I'm good!
V Day plans...well, seeing as how I'm single, I might grab a can of Coke and try to call up all my taken friends in the middle of their dates and disturb them for the fun of it. And I'll probably watch TV. :P Just another day, I guess. Or I could try and get a gf, but there aren't really any girls that interest me.

apologies mr PLOP. your thread has been re-opened and moved.

Yeah those Deans are pretty heavy.
ER isn't nerdy. If you watched Teletubbies, that'd be nerdy. But ER is ok. I have to watch Lost in 9 minutes lol. We all have our priorities :P
And I'm definitely going to check out that thread for you!

Haha don't worry about it :P
This is the Internets (George W. Bush called it the Internets, I've been doing it ever since because it's so stupid). Long reply times are expected on the Internets :P

Congrats on getting five out of five! That's excellent mate! I don't think I could do that in a guitar competition; the guitar players in my area are pretty good (although most of them can't write their own stuff, but they can play other people's material damn well).
I like how metal guitarists are winning competitions again; it's a nice change.
And did you ever sell that Dean of yours? Just curious.

I just checked - the videos on my digital camera are good; they should be alright on Youtube :D

I would do the same in a guitar exam. I'd be like "OK, I know this isn't what the question asked for, but here's what DIME would do." Play a sweet riff and get a pro grade.

And I can't put youtube videos up because my camera quality is not good enough, I don't think....Actually, it might be - I'll have to check lol. It's a Sony, so how bad can it be?

I had an English exam last Friday that was easy as pie, and on Wednesday I have my other two. Studied for them a bit today, but I can't focus on things I don't care about, so that didn't work out too well.

It's true. My school doesn't have a guitar course to take, otherwise I would.

I have a sociology exam and European history from 1500-1900 left to go. I'm going to pwn that sociology one, but history is worrying me a little. Sample test question from the first unit. "In 1611, King _________ of France signed the Paris Treaty."

oh man a couple friends of mine went to see that movie
and afterwards they called me and said "That was one of the worst movies we've ever seen. We're going to go see another movie to wash the aftertaste away. You wanna come?" We ended up seeing Sweeney Todd, which was INCREDIBLE.

And I heard about that hot chick too. But if I wanted to see a cheesy movie, I think I'm going to watch a Chuck Norris flick :P lol

Tomorrow...I know I'm going to church in the morning, and I'll probably pull in some studying for next two exams and play more guitar lol.

I want a Razorback sooo badly
My weekend hasn't been bad so far - it's 2:32 right now on Saturday here (time difference between us is probably huge), so I haven't done much as of yet. but it's been good.

Raaaaaaazorbaaaacks. Mmmmmm. Man I want one. lol

How's your weekend been going?

It was a fixed-bridge DEAN ML, but it was a discontinued model from a couple years back - the one where they just painted his face all over it; I don't know if you've seen it or not. But it's a bada$$ guitar.

And I'm feeling so friggin awesome! I slept in today, which I don't get to do very often anymore, and it was amazing! Soooo refreshed! Thanks for the concern man!

Yeah I'm feeling a lot less confused these days - I had a couple days last week where I was sooo far gone.

A7X eh? How was that? And who supported them?

I had an exam today :S Afterwards, I designed some guitars on the back of it, so it was all good. And I finally got the chance to hold a Dean guitar! I found a store that sells them in town. They are truly magnifico.

Dude!
How's life going? Did you watch any of the NAMM stuff?
I couldn't watch the Dean videos (a lot of them came out with bad colours), but I saw some of the others. I was disappointed with Fender (as usual)....too much of the same.

Nathan_393 wrote on Jan 19th, 2008 4:21pm

it sure seems like that =S

but as far as i know, unless somebody has somehow drugged me, i haven't taken any drugs...i think i'm just stupid lol

Nathan_393 wrote on Jan 19th, 2008 5:51am

Thanks man!
I've got a solid repair man I know putting in those EMG pickups right now - I can't wait to get it back!

Yeah, I don't know what happened to me with NAMM. I think I slept through it one day or something.....this is actually the first I've heard about it. For some reason, I thought it was February right now and didn't realize it wasn't until this afternoon. So I'm really messed up right now.
