About PJplaysguitar
Hey, I'm PJ. I play guitar. I'd say I'm pretty good, but people tell me I "rape". I've been playing for about 2 years now...

I'm only 14, but I've played many shows (around 7 or 8) with 2 different bands. I play a B.C. Rich Warlock. My other gear includes....

Marshall VS100 Valvestate head

MG 412a cab

Zoom 36 fire combo

Boss MT-2 Metal Zone (self modded)

DigiTech Dead Metal (also self modded)

Behringer UB1002 mixer

I play Dean Markley extra lights

Best picks in the world...Dunlop Tortex SHARP 1.5mm

So yeah, about my style. Well I play lead and rhythem. Me and my other guitarist trade off leads.

I'm a self-taught guitarist, but I play clarinet (6 years). So I know my theory, which helps loads for guitar. Only bad thing is that it's a B flat instrument, so the transition kinda fucked me up. But overall, I think my style is pretty unique...between my guitar and other musical influences. It gives my style a more melodic feel, but nothing like "melodic death metal".

I switch between 4 tunings (yeah I can't make up my mind)

Standard, D Standard, Drop C, and C standard. I like C standard the best because it just makes sence. What is the main note in music? C. What note separates Bass Clef from Treble Cleff? C. A "C" tuning just makes sence.....whether you like it or not.
