don't play speed solos, play blues solos first and think of some notes that you like and play them slow

I wouldnt exactly agree with Iheartnirvana, Cos I would say you can play a fast solo but play it slow. Thats how I got to where I am right now, I took some of my favorite songs with good solos, played 'em slow, and as i knew all the notes bends, etc. i tried a little faster. I tried a little faster each time, and now i can fly through fast solo's.
