Minor Threat is probably my top hardcore band. Usually I'm fine listening to it, I don't have any problems with it being so loud and angry. I think that band was the most talented, of all the hardcore bands. Most talented I've heard, anyways.
Ever listened to Void? They were from Maryland but they did a bunch of shows in the DC area. They've got a great split with The Faith, Ian MacKaye's younger brother Alec's band. They're more crossover thrash, their guitarist Bubba Dupree was able to play really aggressively. |
Love Minor Threat, never heard Void. There's a lot of hardcore out there I've never heard. I try to expand my collection everyday, but it's hard, as the songs are hard to find online and the records are even harder.

Minor Threat's definitely the big one for me. I like hardcore, but there's a lot of it I can only tolerate if I'm in a certain mood. It's just too noisy, angry, fast, whatever. Minor Threat...even though it sounds by far the angriest to me...is the best sounding in most situations.
And...I've heard most of the EP. Terrible, terrible quality. It was hard for me to get past that.

15 vs. 15. We have 20 on a roster and rotate out 5 each time.
