Well, I bend the strings with only one or two fingers, mainly with my third/ring finger.
My guitar teacher has now told me to use all 3 or 4 fingers while bending, as that is best. I don't know why though, I was doing just fine with the one ring finger!
My fingers have a mind of their own, which is an unintelligent mind unfortunately. My little finger likes to partially pop out of place every-so-often while practicing.
Oh well. I guess it's best to deal with these things before they become more of a problem later on in life.
I'm learning 'Angie' by Bert Jansch now (it's not an original, sadly). I never knew that it was all played on just the one guitar!!
I really don't think there's any right or wrong way to play guitar- whatever is comfortable most to you and fits your style. Good luck on your guitar journey!!
Thank you
I'm working on it, it's just my pinky finger that's the annoying one. The others are alright really, I think.
Oh and also, since I've started using more fingers to bend the strings, I've noticed that the bends are bigger and better sounding . It all makes sense now
