Invisible Girl wrote on Nov 14th, 2008 6:30ammaybe he is, you never know...going to bible college sounds like a good idea. i wanted to go to bible college, but things changed. so now i'm goin to a music school. if worst comes to worst, i'll probably end up goin to bible college, but it's not likely. but if it's the right path for you, you should definitely take it!! quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Nov 8th, 2008 6:18amyou could always major in one, and minor in the other. cuz i think it would be great if you were a youth pastor that also has a degree in music!! you could also be involved in the youth's music ministry at a church...just a thought...but definitely pray about it to make sure that it's what god wants you to do...i know i had to pray for more than a year about my career path... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Nov 7th, 2008 5:11amoh okay, i understand how all that goes. i gotta save up money for when i transfer to another college. cuz i'm at a junior college right now, and i'm transferring to a music school in california in about a year...so i'm right there with ya...do you know what you wanna study?? quote |

Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:36amthere you have it!! pretty much my life story!! god's just blessed me so much, and i'm so thankful for everything he's done in my life. he's given me a family that loves to serve the lord, an awesome church family, an awesome youth group, a great high school with the bestest friends ever, and a passion for music...i just can't thank him enough!! quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:32amso my junior year was comin to an end and i was soon gonna be a senior. i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life. at first i was thinking about studying math and history and becoming a teacher. but i really had no idea what to do, so i prayed. i prayed for almost 2 years about what i should do after graduation. finally, at the beginning of my senior year i got my answer: music!! god told me i have a talent for music and i should use it. i mean, i always sang in choir and played guitar during chapel, but god wanted me to take it farther. and he helped me realize that i really do have a passion for music. and i do!! so now i'm in college and studying to be a music major!! quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:31am...you know how sometimes you sorta forget that god is always there right beside you? cuz most of the time when i would have problems, i would go to my friends first. goin to my friends isn't a bad thing, but i would always forget to go my bestest friend of all, jesus. at camp i realized that i can count on god for anything. i came back home trusting in him more than ever before and i was reading the bible more often. i was praying like crazy!! everytime something would come up, i would always go to him first. i began to get really involved in church, mainly in the kids area. now, i'm a worker in jr. church, a jr. camp counselor, and a vbs worker...that year at our annual missions conference, i kinda felt god speaking to me about the mission field. i began to have a burden for those in other countries. but later i realized what god really wanted me to do with my life... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:30amthe summer before my junior year, i went to church camp like i always do every year. the place sucked!! the facilities were terrible, it was gross, but the food was good. the only good thing at camp was the speaking. we had 2 speakers, one was a missionary to italy and the other was a pastor from indiana. the speaking was so powerful i was moved every night... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:26amnext part...my mom's friend introduced her to this guy. he to lost his wife to a blood disorder. he was military just like my dad and he lived in texas. he and my mom talked on the phone FOREVER!! it was torture cuz sometimes i couldn't sleep cuz my mom talks loud, lol!! anyway, the 2 of them got married and i gained a step dad and 3 step sisters. 5 girls in the fam, you can imagine the chaos in my house, lol!! so me, my sister, and my mom moved out to texas with the rest of them. i loved texas, but i really missed vegas. and then my step dad got transferred again to mississippi, where i live now... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:25amso here's the next part...we attened gateway baptist church, the church where i was saved and baptized. at the time of my dad's death, i thought i was saved, but i wasn't. so i finally got saved and it was a great feeling. i wanted everyone in the world be saved after i was (i still want everyone to be saved, but when you first get saved you're just filled with joy and excitement!) i actually had a chance to witness to my god mother's daughter who was 16 at the time. i wasn't afraid to tell her about christ, but since i was only 7 it was a little hard for me to explain so my mom helped me out. since i finally realized what salvation was, i asked my mom if my dad was saved and she said yes. i was relieved to hear that... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:24amthe day was july 12, 1997. the day my father died. he was buried in indianapolis, his hometown...when we got back to ohio, my mom didn't wanna live there anymore. she knew if she stayed, my relatives would try to tell her how to live and how to raise me and my sister. (my mom is from the philppines, so it's like they thought she was incompetent of raising 2 girls). so we moved back to vegas... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:22am2 weeks before my 7th birthday, we came down here to visit my aunt...my dad had heart problems. high cholesterol, blood pressure, and almost died from pneumonia. one day, we went out on my uncle's boat on the lake. my dad decided he wanted to eat some fried chicken. so he did, like 12 pieces!! so me, my sister, and my cousin jumped in the lake (with our life jackets of course). after my dad got done eating all that chicken, he wanted to jump in to without a life jacket. later, i turned around and i saw my dad's eyes get huge and he started to sink. he was having a heart attack from all that fried chicken he ate. the lake was dark and like 30 feet deep, so we couldn't see him to try to help him. i knew what was happening, my dad was about to die... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:22ami was raised in a christian home. but my dad didn't go to church as much. most of the time it was just me, mom, and my sister. my dad was a sports freak!! which is why he would miss church, to watch games...my dad's military so i've moved a couple times. i was actually born in spain!! anyway, when i was 6 we moved from las vegas, to dayton, ohio... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 23rd, 2008 7:20ammy story's kinda long, and i talk alot so brace yourself. it's pretty much my life story... quote |
Invisible Girl wrote on Oct 20th, 2008 6:16pmoh my gosh!! that's insane!! there was probably only nail clippers in the room cuz god has a plan for your life and didn't you want you to take it away...i can't believe you went through all that. i think it's amzing how you came out of that stage. god truly did an awesome thing in your life!! quote |
