The world is the strangest place. It's really kind of funny. And sad too. Some of the stuff we all laugh at is stuff we do ourselves. Take for example, celebrities. We watch the tabloids and we celebrate every time one of them slips and falls. It's ridiculous because if we were watched by poparazzi 24/7 then we would all realize that we're the same as the celebrities are - we keep sinking lower and lower until we're jumping on chairs during our interview on Oprah (Tom Cruise, for those of you who don't get the reference).
Really, though. Think about this: how many people do you know that are drug addicts or alcoholics or, frig, maybe even both? Maybe you're like that, I don't know. The point is, all of us know that Tom Cruise. He was the class clown in high school. We all know that Avril Lavigne. She was the slut in college. So really, we're not all perfect and we should stop acting like we are.
Does anybody even understand why celebrities are the way they are? Does anybody understand why people do the crazy things they do? I can tell you: we do what we do to find fulfillment. It's the pursuit of happiness, one of your three all-important American liberties that a lot of Conversative Christians hold as dear to them as the Ten Commandments. People have this hole in them that they need to fill up, so they go looking for any way possible - sex, drugs, alcohol - to fill that whole and then they wonder why they still feel so empty this morning. (I'll give you a hint - it's NOT because you were puking that alcohol back up last night).
It's honestly because we're all fallen. We're all fools. We don't have any sense of morals and wonder why we can't seem to make ourselves happy. We fake love, money and ourselves. We don't know how to be real anymore. We get lost in the shuffle. We just feel plain lost. Maybe if people started going to church instead of the mall on Sundays, they'd find some happiness. They would find some fulfillment.
How low will you go before you realize that you're only sinking in your own wetsand?
yup i totaly agree with ya on that...
i NEVER fallow celeb gossip or anything like that
...
frankly.. cause i dont care...
and because i think its freakin stupid that we judge them
when we still have our own problems..
the bible says "let he who has no sin cast the first stone"
yeah im with incendiary on this. i try to not judge people ever because no matter how bad they seem or whatever the case is, im absolutely no better and never will be. i honestly think its really sad when people hold themselves above everyone else for whatever reason, whether its because they have money or theyre popular or what. for me it comes down to this: if youve messed up even once in your life (dont know about you, but im at like 100 million haha) you have no right to judge anyone, no matter how "little" you think those sins that you committed were or how horrible that sin was that the other person committed. we are all equally sinful and guilty, at least in the eyes of God. plus if a bullet or disease can take you down as easily as it can me, then youre not as hard as you think you are.
this wasn't meant to be judgmental, because i agree with you guys. it was a little bit on how i felt about myself lately too - like, how low would i go, you know? it's just a muse, sorry if anybody felt i was judging them.

I wondered where you were going with this right till the very end there.
If you think faith is the answer I'd rather have faith in myself than anything that is worshipped in a church, mosque or temple.[/quote]
sounds like someone who needs some of this fulfillment hes talking about
I've got to agree with you until the very end.
-Yes, the world is messed up.
-Yes, the whole celebrity gossip thing is immature..
-Yes, to everything else you've said.
I've been through a few religions, and they've brought no happiness to my life, they've not filled any hole in my soul.
Personally, I believe that to be happy.. you have to find what makes you happy in life. For example, in my case, writting music relieves most of my stress.
My only religion, my only belief, is being a good person.
But if you ask me, religion brings more misery than happiness. Take a look at history and how many wars have taken place because of religion. Some of the grimmest times in the history of mankind were because of religion and there are other wars happening now as I type this over religion (In the Middle-East). But anyway, I'm not here to get into a fight about religion on a guitar site, I just had to throw in my 2 cents. XD And I have nothing against you or anything and it's cool that you have a religion but just don't go pushing it on other people. Frankly, it starts pissing me off at that point. That's what causes the wars I spoke of. If people could just have their religions while respecting other people's beliefs and religions, there wouldn't be any fighting but unfortunately there will always be fanatics out there.
lol I was wondering the same thing as you, Freedoms Stain. Honestly I don't think religion brings any happiness. Everyone has their own things that bring them happiness and everyone needs to find what those things are. For me, those things are my girlfriend, playing guitar and video games. (My girlfriend just makes happy and puts me in a good mood 'cause I have a lot of fun with her and I can be myself with her. Playing guitar is something I've become very passionate about doing and it's a way for me to relieve my stress and just forget about everything that's going on around me. Video games are just purely for fun lol)
Damn it those two comments were all one comment before and I posted two on another person's profile but they came out in the wrong order but apparently when posting comments on blogs the order they show up in is different >.>; Anyway, bottom one was supposed to be first.
