Favorite bands :
I listen to almost every genre of music, including alternative, metal, oldies, real R'n'B, classic rock, jazz and country.
And by real R'n'B I mean the stuff in the 50s and 60s; none of this Akon and Chris Brown crap.
My top ten favourite artists/bands at the moment (in no particular order) would have to be:
Muse, Radiohead, The White Stripes, Steve Vai, The Living End, Dream Theater, Machine Head, The Doors, Bullet For My Valentine and Racer X.
Favorite guitarists :
Again, top ten in no particular order:
Steve Vai, Jonny Greenwood, Matthew Bellamy, John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Thom Yorke, Chris Cheney, John Mayer, Saul Hudson (Slash) and John Frusciante.
Favorite bassists :
I've only started playing bass recently, so I don't have any role models I'm looking up to at the moment. However, a few names that have stuck out over the years are Billy Sheehan, Flea and Chris Wolstenholme.
Favorite books :
I didn't really do much reading during my secondary school years, so here goes: Enduring Love - Ian McEwan, 1984 - George Orwell, Area 7 - Matthew Reilly, Q&A - Vikas Swarup, Deception Point - Dan Brown
Favorite tv :
I don't watch that much TV, but anyway..Family Guy, South Park, Drawn Together, Futurama, How I Met Your Mother, Married With Children, Scrubs and Mythbusters.
Favorite movies :
The Saw series, Blazing Saddles, The Matrix (the first one), Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Swordfish and Dogma.
Hey, my name's Yianni. I live in Melbourne, Australia, 20 minutes by train from the CBD. I'm a uni student, currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts at Monash.
