Just wait 'til Summer dude, I'll be reading up and I'll let people know how my reading is getting along.
Ohh, and Prachett is boring
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/Game-Thrones-Song-Fire-B ook/dp/000647988X) if you like your fantasy and want some more novels to read quote |
Craigo wrote on Jun 1st, 2008 12:44pmSeeds of Evil is a far too emotive term. All history, no matter in what context, should be political neutral. It sounds like a shitty channel four documentary
Cheers dude. I took up AS English Language and Literature, History, Maths and Philosophy. I've dropped English to concentrate on my other subjects and also because it was fucking me up (two months later I'm diagnosed as being dyslexic and dyspraxic, how I got an A in Language at GCSE is beyond me...). I was gonna drop Maths, do A2 History and A2 Philosophy, alongside AS/A2 Government and Politics next year, but it looks like I can't
So, in order to get into Uni by only spending 2 years at college, not three or four, I'm taking A2 History, A2 Philosophy and A2 Maths.
Squashed philosophers is great I tell you. Unless you REALLY want to read any text from that site from page one to the end, I recommend just reading those summaries. quote |
Craigo wrote on May 28th, 2008 5:30pmVery cool Im getting into Philosophy myself although exams are'nt helping, tis quite a coincidense as i read your blog a week ago and I ordered the pig that wants to be eaten
I tend to prefer Modern History and i probs use the summer to read up on philosophy and if i have time the Napoleonic era(which i here is very interesting).
What As modules are you taking btw?(read your profile)
Im taking
Nazi germany(source)
Fascist Italy
Henry VIII and Wolsey (the most boring man that ever existed) |
Awesome to see that I've got people into Philosophy The book is awesome and is only gets better in time as you learn more which you can apply to it. You'll love it, trust me.
I prefer Modern History, but I'm curious to see how people learn about Ancient History, ergo my wantingness to read up on the Persian empire. That's all after exams though...
I am doing Life in Nazi Germany, Russia 1917-1929 and Seeds of Evil (I hate that module name for obvious reasons).
