About Mopar Guy
Old dude(46) picking up the guitar again after a long hiatus. Self-taught & mainly rhythm, as I was never dedicated enough to play serious lead. Played in several garage bands in my youth. Now I occasionally jam with my daughter who is learning electric bass. Fortunately she is an accomplished clarinet player & possesses good music theory; she keeps me on track.
I still own the first electric guitar that I bought in 1979: A black Electra Omega Les Paul copy. It's in pristine condition save for a small chip in the laminate. My wife surprised me last Christmas with a Fender 15W amp & two Danelectro FAB effect pedals. She hasn't hit me up for a divorce yet with the racket I make. ;-)
I come across as a hardass to most people, but I'm pretty easy going with a good sense of humor plus a strong sarcastic streak. I work out with weights, run & practice a little martial arts. I love muscle cars, particularly where Mopars are concerned. I'm currently working on a '73 Charger & hope it will see the road again before I die.
I'm tolerant of a lot of folks except extremists, assholes, egomaniacs & idiots; if you have an attitude or a need to always be "on", keep moving.
