Whole bunch, but the most prominent ones or the most surprising ones are Blue Oyster Cult, Budgie, Parliament, The J. Geils Band, Guthrie Govan, Riggs, Trust, Jean Michel Jarre, Stalk-Forrest Group, The Brain Surgeons.

Favorite guitarists :
Favorite is Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult, also my favorite band. He may not be the most technically inclined, but he's generally no-BS when it comes to his philosophy and his tone. Mmm... his tone.

Favorite bassists :
Actually shall have to go with Larry Graham on this one, and in the rock arena I'd have to say it's Chris Squire.

I play guitar. I like computers, but I do less of that now that I play guitar. I hope to get a degree in Computer Engineering and build a solid-state rig that kicks ass and sounds how I think a guitar should sound instead of having to dick with my Marshall all the time. That's about it.
