Favorite guitarists :
DIMEBAG!! he was such an amazing guitarist back in the day, he really had great rhythm chops and he could always wail out a blazing solo. i remember he's the one that really made me want to be great someday Matt Heafy he's such a great songwriter and has such a melodic approach to solo writing. his riffs are really what make him stand out as a guitar player tho corey beaulieu where would trivium be without him? great soloist and great riff writer, i like how fluid his legato and sweeping styles are, as opposed to heafy who has a really mechanical sound to his fast soloing, beaulieu's solos sound as natural as water flowing through a brook tim roth INSANE guitarrist!! the lead guitarist and primary songwriter for into eternity, sometimes he can sound fast and mechanical, sometimes his music beats you with pure brutality, and sometimes it turns out really soft and clean. although he isn't proficient in theory he's a great all around guitarist jason suecoff he knows how to play tech death metal correctly lol paul waggoner he's got a great lead style down and it's been inspiring me alot lately, i like how he puts really jazzy solos into such heavy music and makes it work out so well. i also enjoy what he does with arpeggios john petrucci personally i think he's an encyclopedia of technique and songwriting style. he has so many great musical ideas and it's always interesting to sit down for a bit and just listen to a couple of his songs. they never sound exactly the same twice, because new things you didn't notice before constantly jump out at you
