The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Blue Oyester Cult, Tim Buckley, Pink Floyd, Queen, Jeff Buckely, Rage Against the Machine, Ornatos Violeta (Portuguese band), Muse, Scissor Sisters, Kasabian, Klaxons, Arctic Monkeys, Portugal the Man.
I like more bands and artists, including techno/electronic and classical, but these seemed the most relivant to UG; the order is chronologic, not preferential.
