My name is Devon. I'm 17 years old and I live in Calgary, Canada. I would much rather live in L.A.
I've played guitar for almost twelve years and I've been composing music for nearly ten. My musical tastes have varied ever since I was little. I've gone from N'Sync to Shinedown to Metallica to Necrophagist, to Dream Theater and beyond. This has shown through in my playing style as I have composed a new style called Boy Band/Pop/Jungle Beat/Grunge/Progressive/Triangle/Symphony Fusion. So far no one seems vaguely interested.
I try to work out every couple of days, although my brain does a pretty good job of finding reasons to avoid doing this.
I procrastinate. And I'm lazy.
I don't work well in band situations. I'm not sure why, although it might be related to the point above.
I plan on studying psychology in University as the human mind fascinates me. I want to become a psychologist, and perhaps use my unique Boy Band/Pop/Jungle Beat/Grunge/Progressive/Triangle/Symphony Fusion style of playing to help people. A short trial run of this showed me that people still show no interest.
I love everything progressive, whether it is rock, metal, or anything else. I idolize Pink Floyd, and I rever Dream Theater. Both are fantastic, although Dream Theater will never reach the glory of anything Pink Floyd has done. Ever.
